Jonathan Levy, Artist

Walking Under the Shadow of the Tree...
Walking Under the Shadow of the Tree 7
Observation of nature formed both Levy's outlook on life and style of painting. He focuses his attention on the patterns and movements found in the natural world, from the repetitive formula of a flower, to the chaotic rhythm of the ocean. As a child, he was deeply intrigued by the marbling patterns found within stone.

Through his work, Levy attempts to reignite an appreciation for that which forms through a natural process. He feels that, in today's fast-moving, high-tech world, the splendor of nature, ofterntimes, is overshadowed and taken for granted.

You can enjoy more of Levy's original work on display at Port Penn Peddler.
